Middle School Athletics

Pay to participate contributions are used for the upkeep of athletic facilities, equipment, uniform purchases, and coaches salaries.

Exceptions and PTP Fee Caps:

• Any student-athlete that qualifies for the Free & Reduced Lunch program will not be assessed a PTP Fee.
• A $250 Family Cap will be in place for any family where multiple children participate in athletics at the Middle School. This does not include children that play at the High School and Middle School during the given school year.

Refunds for PTP Fees will only be granted retroactively to a student-athlete that suffers a season-ending injury. Student-athletes that either quit the team, or are removed from the team for eligibility or disciplinary purposes will not be refunded.

All Pay to Participate fees must be paid to Gahanna Lincoln Athletics prior to the first contest of the participating season. Failure to pay prior to the first contest will result in holding that participant out of the contest until payment is rendered.

Student All Sports Pass - $58 - This STUDENT pass entitles the holder to one (1) entrance to all Gahanna MIDDLE SCHOOL home ticketed sporting events. Pass is not valid for away contests or OHSAA tournament games. In the event of a sold out contest, this pass DOES NOT guarantee admission. All sales are non-refundable.

Adult All Sports Pass - $88 - This ADULT pass entitles the holder to one (1) entrance to all Gahanna MIDDLE SCHOOL home ticketed sporting events. Pass is not valid for away contests or OHSAA tournament games. In the event of a sold out contest, this pass DOES NOT guarantee admission. All sales are non-refundable.

Senior Lion Fan Passes are available by presenting proof of GJPS residency and age (60 and older) to:

Intramural sports are held during the school day, traditionally during the lunch period or after school.

The term “intramural” simply means “within the walls.” Participation is always under the supervision and guidance of an intramural staff member and events are age-appropriate. Students may participate in a variety of activities including kickball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and other sports. The intramural program is all-inclusive and open to every student. In addition to further developing a sense of community within the school, the intramural programs provide students an opportunity to further practice and internalize the skills, attitudes, and knowledge acquired in their physical education class.
