Two students from Gahanna Lincoln High School, Luke Ball and Madelyn Ohl, have been honored as National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. These semifinalists represent having the highest scores on the PSAT/NMSQT and place them among the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide.

As semifinalists, these students will now compete for the chance to become National Merit Finalists. To advance, they must submit a detailed application, which includes their academic achievements, participation in school and community activities, leadership roles, work experience, and honors. Luke and Madelyn must also be endorsed by a high school official and write a personal essay.

The semifinalists have the opportunity to compete for more than 7,100 National Merit college scholarships worth nearly $28 million.

Congratulations to Luke and Madelyn!
