GLHS Student Inducted into Fairfield Career Center Chapter of Technical Honors Society
On the morning of Friday, October 18, 2024, the Fairfield Career Center inducted 20 students into its chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.
Students inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), Class of 2024, represent 12 different associate schools and seven different Fairfield Career Center lab programs.
To be considered for induction into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Fairfield Career Center, a student must earn a 3.7 or higher grade point average and have a 97 percent attendance rate, or better, in their junior year with no major discipline infractions. The candidates’ teachers also evaluate students to ensure that they demonstrate the seven attributes of an NTHS member: skill, scholarship, honesty, responsibility, service, leadership, and citizenship. Once students meet these qualifications they are asked to complete an application, which includes multiple essays, which is then reviewed by staff and the NTHS advisors.
The inductees were honored in a ceremony that welcomed their friends, families, home school representatives, and EFCTS Board of Education members to commemorate their selection into NTHS.
Congratulations to Mackenzie Terrel from Gahanna Lincoln High School for her induction into NTHS. Mackenzie is studying Cosmetology at the Fairfield Career Center.
